Age you took your first photo and what camera did you use: I believe I was 16/17 and had an Olympus E-500 taking photographs at a Barcelona game at Giants Stadium
First realization that you wanted to be a professional photographer: I did my first photoshoot in my house with a old friend of mine and she got signed to an agency from the images
Who inspires you?: Photographically it’s Alexi Lubomirski, Hunter and Gatti, Art Streiber, Giampaolo Sgura and Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, all for their out of the box thinking .
Camera of choice used to capture most of your work: Right now it’s the SonyA9. I’ve used the SonyA1 for Key Art and will be giving it a try with unit as well (might be overkill though haha)
Dream photo-shoot: Id say it would be Key Art and unit still opportunities with Denzel Washington, Sidney Portier, Harry Belafonte, Kanye West, Jay Z, LeBron James, and Drake.
What do you do when not taking photos?: PLAY SOCCER!! I was once a D1 Soccer player in life and that was my first love. Either that or hanging with friends and family
Favorite place on earth: Right now, it’s Aruba and maybe LA is tied. Yea sounds weird but as a photographer from the east coast, going west for Work is a reminder to me of the times when no one hired me, and travel for work seemed like a longshot. So that particular trip from east to west is sentimental. Aruba, is at the moment my favorite because that Island is so peaceful and kind.
One piece of advice for someone at the beginning stages of their photography career: Regarding a photography career, I’d say make sure to under promise and over deliver.
How do you “Live the Moment”?: I make sure I take a moment of gratitude while in the moment. Not focusing on the past or the future. But being grateful that I am alive to experience whatever moment I am in, and fully dedicating myself to it.
